On The Way To The Capital

Led by the hand by Tsuyuha, we advanced towards the capital, and the sound of battle could be heard nearby.

「Someone is being attacked! I must protect them!」 (Tsuyuha)

Tsuyuha hurried in the direction of the sound.

Led by the hand, I went along quietly.

I slowly came to feel something threatening. This feeling, it's not a monster. It's not a person either. Coming out from between the countless trees, we arrived at an open s.p.a.ce.

There were three young adventurers there. They were uninjured, fortunately.

「It's alright now. I will protect you. Get behind me.」 (Tsuyuha)

Releasing my hand, Tsuyuha went ahead.

「Th, this is weird! The monster is recovering after we attack it!」 (Adventurer)

「Healing? I've never heard of a monster doing that.」 (Tsuyuha)

The enemy had the appearance of a hyena.

It bore its fangs, afflicted by madness. The three adventurers fell back. Tsuyuha prepared her katana, slicing at the enemy that sprung forward.

The sword cleaved the earth in two.

As the adventurer said, the cut pieces came together, returning to their original form.

「It seems to be true.」 (Tsuyuha)

「...That's a demon.」 (Izayoi)

「Demon? Like the old demons that the hero defeated?」 (Tsuyuha)

「Yes, that demon. Demons regenerate. Magic is used every time it heals, so it has to be beaten until it runs out of magic... It's a pain so you do it.」 (Izayoi)

「Putting aside why it's here, it is a demon. It should be defeated quickly.」 (Tsuyuha)

Tsuyuha closed her eyes and prepared. Is she done concentrating?

The three adventurers reluctantly went home.

「...Those adventurers were able to go home, why can't I go home?」 (Izayoi)

「This is the capital.」 (Tsuyuha)

We arrived at the capital with the sun high in the sky. There are various things I have to do.
