Chapter 18: Shopping!

(Ps: this chapter is kind of short… I want to translate the next chapter but I just couldn’t do it today.. I was reading it and laughed until my stomach hurts… Oh… please… ahahahahaha…. if there’s no zombie master this week I’ll update neta chara.)
After leaving the castle, the next thing we’re going to do is shopping. We headed west and arrived at the ‘shopping district’.
There were stalls selling food, miscellaneous goods, even shops selling weapons, armors, blacksmithing and looked like a modern ‘mall’. For now, we stopped by at a clothing store because Miri said that she wanted to buy me some more clothes.
It seemed like Miri used to come here since the elder woman who work here greeted her.
“Miriaria-san, how can I help you today?”
“I want to buy some clothes for this man.”
After that Miri introduced me to the shopkeeper. When I was still talking with the shopkeeper, Miri already jolted off and ransacked the store.
“Kent, I think this will look good on you.”
It was a shirt with a white collar that even looked too formal if you wear it to go to school. What’s more the materials it made from was like a combination of silk woven together, made it glossy yet somehow synthetic. But no matter what it looks really expensive. It wasn’t something that could be worn everyday.
“Well, I think that’s a little too much.”
“How about this one?”
The next clothes she picked was a tuxedo. There’s no way I’m wearing it as my regular clothes.
“How about choosing something more casual?”
I searched on my own and found a blue shirt. It was a simple one without any decoration and more importantly, this was cheap and it doesn’t matter if it becomes dirtied. We decided to buy two shirts but Miri looked unhappy while handing it to the shopkeeper.
“Really is it alright to buy such cheap clothes?”
Of course I couldn’t wear the clothes that she picked for me since it was not suitable for everyday wear.
“It will be 1 silver and 4 copper.”(shopkeeper)
“Can you deliver the clothes to the mansion?”(Miri)
“Yes, we can do that. Thank you for your patronage Miriaria-san.”(shopkeeper)
“Well, I can carry the luggage you know.” (Kent)
However Miri left the shop while the shopkeeper deeply bowing.
I wondered, will she really deliver such cheap clothes to the mansion? I felt like Miri was a regular costumer here, or more like a celebrity. However, I still don’t know how much is 1 silver and its monetary value. If I followed Miri way of shopping, I think it will be dangerous since I don’t have any money and don’t know how much I can earn.
Next, we’re visiting the necessity shop.
“Miri, what are we going to buy next?”
“Hmm.. some textbook, blackboard and chalk for you to practice writing.”
we visited a general store. There were many things cluttered here. Pot, shovels, tableware, there were everything you need clumped together. Miri asked them to take out a black board but I was surprised that it was only as big as a notebook. I guess paper in this era is still a luxurious things so I will start learning on this hand-sized blackboard. After that, she also chose some textbook and gave it to me.
“Alright, I think that’s all.”
“What are we going to buy next?”
“Hmm.. probably some weapons and armor for Kent. Oh!! I can’t believe I forget it. Kent, come with me. This is important!”
After that, Miri came out from the store while pulling my arm. I couldn’t believe my eyes when we arrived at the shop.
It was a lingerie store. On the side, colorful women’s underwear were displayed neatly. It was a good place to shop, but I’m a man!
“Kent, how do you think about this one?”
Miri already picked out a lingerie. It was a micro lingerie. With such underwear, what’s the point of wearing it? It doesn’t even able to cover the important place!
“Well, just tell me your opinion.”
Miri saw the answer from my reddened face. If Miri wears it, I don’t have self-confidence that I will be able to keep the ‘beast’ inside me.
“Ehehehe, alright then I’ll take this.”
Miri then asked the clerk for a size that fits her. Really, this was already stimulating for me.
“Kent, it seemed like they have one of my size.”
Miri came and told it to me with a cheerful expression.
“Is that so? That’s good.”
Oh no, my mouth! What are you saying? Of course it’s bad! Ah, no, I already lost to my l.u.s.t.
“Next, I need to get one for Annabella. Hmm.. I wonder which one is good? Ah, this see-through one is good.”
