"I worked my a.s.s off to get noticed by you three, and that's who you all go after!"
"Well, she does have more than you." Harris interjected.
"Last I checked, she was a girl from Iowa that lived with animals on a farm and then moved here just before her parents filled for the death bus." She said smugly and then turned to me smiling like a little b.i.t.c.h that just won her new dolly. I threw the pa.s.senger door open and shoved my way past Harrison somehow and watched the woman's smile slowly change to show her fear.
"What? You see that I'm walking towards you and now you're a p.u.s.s.y? Well, this Iowa girl DID grow up on a farm. That's exactly why I have a great tendency to spot a pig right of the bat." I said, circling her and enjoying the feeling of watching her shrink into this small little baby.
"Y-You're the pig. Keeping these boys to y-yourself." She said while stuttering.
"I'd watch it sweetheart. That one," I paused and looked up acknowledging Nick who was already looking at this girl with disgust in his eyes.
"Is particularly protective of my wellbeing. So unless you want to enrage THREE King brothers, then leave." I said, saying the last two words slow and deeper than my middle c voice to really get the message through.
"I'll get you back Iowa." She said in nothinf more than a whisper.
"It's a Paris." I corrected as she walked away and flipped me the bird.
"Yeah I got one of those too!" I said flipping two of them back at her and then a pinch on my momentarily bare side.
"You're supposed to be a lady." Harris said, pulling my shirt down to cover my stomach.
"And you're not allowed to lift your arms today. I don't like how your shirt flies up when you move." He said before taking mt arm and pulling me into the truck, Jerome and Nicholas hopping in with us.
"Excuse me, my truck, I drive." I said.
"Are you the one with the keys?"
"Are you the one paying my taxes for this baby?" I said through gritted teeth.
"You're in trouble tomorrow." He said before lifting me by my hips and sliding over, switching places.
______
I pulled into the parking spot and picked up my backpack before getting out of my truck. I lifted the side part on the seat and slid it forward to let both the boys out. I then walked away and let the boys lock up my truck. When I went through the large, heavy front doors I didn't bother a.s.sociating with anyone and went straight to my locker taking my books out and dodging peiple in the hallway till getting to my math cla.s.s. Nicholas came in and sat down at his desk beside me and reached across to my table squeezing my hand for no apparent reason.
"Hm?" I asked looking over at him.
"You seemed tense, especially earlier this morning with Harris." He said, releasing my hand.
"It's nothing." I said, turning my attention to the front just as Mr. Ozaki walked in.
"Ari, can I borrow a pencil?" Asked one of the girls seated behind me.
"Yeah, sure." I said as I dug through my bag and handed her a newly sharpened pencil. Ari is my nickname. The boys think it's childish so they refuse to call me that. Paris is my only name with them. Or little one. 'Mainly little one....' I thought to myself before looking up and seeing Mr. Ozaki hovering over my desk.
"Would you like to share what has you so deep in thought? Miss. Sanders?" He said with the very first strict face I had seen from him.
"No, sir. My apologies." I said looking down from his gaze.
"Good. Thank you. Everyone, eyes back to the front." He said as I felt my cheeks heat up from embarra.s.sment. After about an hour into cla.s.s, my mind started going anywhere else but in the moment. I felt tired but wide awake at the same time. 'If I really need to, I'll sign myself out after this cla.s.s and then drive home to rest a little bit. I might still be having a little bit of a rush from last night and this morning.' I though to myself before reclining back in my chair and tuning back into cla.s.s.
_______
I'm in my history cla.s.s now. It's my sixth period of the day, out of seven. Harris, Jerome and I were both in this cla.s.s. Otherwise, majority of my cla.s.ses are with Nicholas. I had been feeling dizzy all day but not enough to want to drive home because of it. The only problem was that it had gotten ten times worse. h.e.l.l I could feel my head moving from side to side before falling out of my chair.
"Paris?!" Harris said as he got up and scooped me up in what I'd wager to be at most .2 seconds. His two arms were wrapped around my body, carrying me bridal style to the nurses office, and Jerome was right behind him.
"Boys, I didn't expect to see you guys here. And- Paris? Oh dear. What's the matter?" The nurse asked. The last time I was in here because I got punched in the throat. This girl was acting like an immature little rich b.i.t.c.h, so, I told her off and she didn't like it. I'll leave extra details out of this story.
"She fell out of her chair and d.a.m.n near almost pa.s.sed out." Jerome said and slapped Harrisons arm almost saying "Dude put her the h.e.l.l down." or something like that. Jerome didn't like it but he still did. Both boys we're about to leave but I called out to one of them.
"Wait, will you stay with me..."
